Delete your account

Closing the business deletes it and everything it holds. Do it in either place:

• In the dashboard. Sign in at bookvao.com/login as the owner, open Account, and choose Close this business. You are shown how many appointments, clients, team members and photos will go, and you type the business name to confirm.
• In the app. Open More and tap Delete my account, which opens the same page.
• By email. Write to support@bookvao.com from the owner's email address and we will do it for you.

Only an owner can close a business. A team member or front desk login is removed by the owner, on the Team page.

Everything the business ever had: its booking website, appointments past and future, its client list with their names, phone numbers and email addresses, team members and their logins, opening hours, services, photos and uploaded pictures, reviews, and the login of anyone who belonged to no other business.

Your subscription is cancelled first, before anything is deleted, so a closed business can never keep charging you. If we cannot reach Stripe at that moment, nothing is deleted and you are asked to try again.

It is immediate and it cannot be undone. Backups roll off within 35 days and technical logs within 30, after which no copy remains.

Your name, phone number and appointment history belong to the business you booked with, not to us: they are that business's records, in the way a paper appointment book would be. Ask them directly and they can delete you from their client list.

If you would rather not contact them, or they do not answer, write to support@bookvao.com with the business's name and the phone number or email you booked with. We will pass it on and make sure it is done.

If you want a copy of your appointments or client list before you go, ask us at support@bookvao.com first. Once a business is closed there is nothing left to export.
